Do you have food sensitivities/ intolerance that’s effecting your health

Are you intolerant to dairy, gluten or maybe even eggs? A lot of people experience symptoms of food sensitivities such as gas, bloating, weight gain, anxiety/depression/brain fog… Or maybe even eczema, depressed immune system, high blood pressure and even chronic pain.

We all experience 2 reactions to food: 1- IgE response- this is very immediate, as if you were lactose intolerant… Give immediate diarrhea and bloating. I am not so interested in this reaction because you would know if your body experienced this… Well I would hope so!
2- IgG response- this is a reaction over 48 hours… This is what I’m interested in!… Lets say that you are sensitive to bananas, you would only have to eat 2 bananas a week to experience experience food allergy symptoms everyday of the week. That’s huge!!!

Food is the one thing we take into our body that’s foreign so some kind of reaction is possible.

In my clinic there are 2 ways in determining your food sensitivities: 1- blood spot test- tests 96 different foods, whichever foods come back as mod-high you would avoid. Or 2- 2-3 week elimination diet, and then reintroduction of food.

Common question? But I’ve eaten these foods all my life, why now?
Well that’s part of the problem, when you eat the same foods everyday your body can build a intolerance to them. At the same time, any stress can effect your digestive enzymes and acids causing you to break down food differently, leading to a leaky gut!
