Carrissa McDaniel, RMT
After graduating from The Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy, I Registered with the College of Massage Therapist Ontario (CMTO) and am a member of the Registered Massage Therapist Association Ontario (RMTAO).
I have provided treatment for children, adolescents, adults young and old, special needs, the morbidly obese, and people with physical and intellectual challenges. As well as having experience treating clients with multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, fibromyalgia, Parkinson’s, Bells Palsy, TMJ, hip replacement, Harrington rod, ankylosing spondylitis, ADHD, trigeminal neuralgia, stroke, spasticity, quadriplegic, paraplegic, spinal cord injury, and acquired brain injury. In addition, I have provided treatment for verbal and non verbal patients and palliative care including persistent wakeful but unaware state.
While studying massage therapy, I was told I needed surgery in both wrists to alleviate the numbness and tingling sensations I was experiencing. I felt strongly that this was not an option and decided to take a less invasive approach. Deep tissue massage therapy eliminated all my symptoms, confirming my belief in exploring an alternative approach before the use of drugs or surgery.
I am a firm believer that your health is not an expense, but an investment. Through massage, we can help balance your inner energy, alleviate stress and stimulate the immune system helping the body’s repair process. I am passionate about my work and look forward to the privilege of assisting you in your treatment goals.
